Hoewel het aantal opleidingsplekken voor Plastisch Chirurgen beperkt is en een plek moeilijk te bemachtigen, is het voor een afgestudeerd Plastisch Chirurg vrij makkelijk om aan een baan te komen.
Je kunt je verder specialiseren. Je zou bijvoorbeeld nog een opleiding kunnen volgen of je kunt les gaan geven. Daarnaast is er ook de mogelijkheid om extra taken op je te nemen, bijvoorbeeld managementtaken of kun je een bestuurs- of directiefunctie op je nemen.
