Boeken Choreograaf
Vaak komt een choreograaf via contacten uit de dans- of muziekwereld aan het werk. Het is dan ook moeilijk in te schatten hoeveel werk er voor choreografen te vinden is, omdat dit aan eigen initiatief gekoppeld is. Er zijn veel dansers die door willen stromen naar choreografie, waardoor er een grote druk op de arbeidsmarkt staat en men zich dus op uitzonderlijke wijze dient te laten zien.
Een beginnend choreograaf zal door een dans-studio gevraagd worden, en vanuit zulk werk doorstromen naar grotere projecten zoals voorstellingen of videos. De hoogste eer is het om in het buitenland gevraagd te worden, en dus niet meer te hoeven werken om opdrachten binnen te krijgen maar de vrije keuze te hebben om zo alle tijd aan de creatie te besteden.
