Boeken Commando
Binnen het Korps Commando Troepen kan bijgetekend worden voor dezelfde functie, kan doorgegroeid worden naar hogere rangen en kan gespecialiseerd worden op bepaalde terreinen. Daarnaast is er de mogelijkheid om binnen de krijgsmacht een andere functie te gaan bekleden.
Buiten de krijgsmacht is er door de grote stressbestendigheid, creativiteit en accuratesse die de Commando bezit zowel binnen de private sector als de overheid vraag naar oud-Commando's.
Momenteel heeft de Landmacht nog vacatures voor Commando open staan. Daarnaast is er veel doorloop binnen het Korps Commando Troepen.
Waarschijnlijk zullen de bezuinigingen van Defensie niet ten kosten gaan van de operationele kant van de Commando's.
