Er zijn voldoende mogelijkheden om aan het werk te kunnen als Ecoloog. Er is dan ook veel natuur in Nederland. Doorgroeimogelijkheden echter zijn beperkt tot een vast dienstverband, het behalen van senioriteit, of het opzetten van een eigen adviesbureau.

Er zijn een hoop verschillende manieren om je te verdiepen in het beroep Ecoloog. Je kan een opleiding volgen, maar er zijn nog andere laagdrempelige manieren om aan die kennis te komen.
