Boeken Farmacoloog
Er is maar een beperkt aantal banen beschikbaar voor Farmacologen, aangezien de medicijnenindustrie in Nederland niet echt groot is. In het buitenland is dit een ander verhaal. Daarnaast is het mogelijk om via het ontwikkelen van een specialisme, na de opleiding, bij een ziekenhuis of andere onderzoeksinstelling terecht te kunnen komen. Als men als Farmacoloog werk heeft gevonden, is er de mogelijkheid om in een groot bedrijf een leidinggevende functie op zich te nemen. Deze mogelijkheid tot doorgroeien is echter wel beperkt.
