Boeken Cartoonist
Het arbeidsperspectief en de doorgroeimogelijkheden hangen volledig af van de cartoonist in kwestie. Hij moet er zelf voor zorgen dat hij kwalitatief goede cartoons maakt, iets nieuws te bieden heeft tussen de huidige cartoonisten en hun cartoons en de redacties van kranten, tijdschriften of bedrijven die advertenties willen gaan uitbrengen overtuigen om hem in dienst te nemen (of ervoor te zorgen dat hij freelance bij ze kan gaan werken). Het kan jaren duren voordat een cartoonist een baan als striptekenaar kan krijgen bij één van de verschillende media, daarom is het belangrijk dat hij over veel doorzettingsvermogen, zelfontwikkeling en ambitie beschikt en het niet erg moet vinden om eventueel bij verschillende media afgewezen te worden.
