Boeken Internist
Er zijn voldoende opleidingsplaatsen voor Internisten beschikbaar. Als afgestudeerd Internist kan men eigenlijk direct aan de slag. Door de vergrijzing van de samenleving zijn er steeds meer (oudere) mensen die een Internist nodig hebben. Daarbij vragen mensen steeds meer om specialistisch onderzoek. Ze nemen niet meer genoegen met een simpel recept van de Huisarts. Daardoor ontstaat er meer werk voor de Internist. Door het verkrijgen van een opleidingsplaats is de Internist na zijn afstuderen zo goed als verzekerd van een baan.
De Internist zit al bijna aan de top van zijn carrière. Hij heeft lang gestudeerd om deze functie te krijgen. Daardoor zijn er niet veel doorgroeimogelijkheden meer al kan de Internist zich altijd nog wel specialiseren in een bepaald aandachtsgebied. Daarnaast zijn er nog wat mogelijkheden voor de Internist om zijn loopbaan een andere wending te geven. Bijvoorbeeld door naast het werk van Internist leidinggevende-, bestuurs- of directiefuncties te vervullen. De Internist kan ook wetenschappelijk onderzoek gaan doen. En als laatste is er voor de Internist nog een loopbaan in een academisch ziekenhuis mogelijk. Hij kan daar aan de slag gaan als opleider of hoogleraar.
